Below we will walk through step by step how to import game files into Blender so you can add/modify how you like.
Download WinRAR https://www.win-rar.com/download.html?&L=0
Download umodel https://www.gildor.org/en/projects/umodel#files
Download Blender and the .psk file Blender Addon https://github.com/Befzz/blender3d_import_psk_psa
Open umodel and pick the Paks folder where you downloaded LongVinter (yours could be in a different location than mine)
Click the checkbox and set it to Unreal engine 4 and Unreal engine 4.26 then press Ok
These are the files for the models/textures/etc.
Double click an item to see exactly what it is (press O to return to folders)
Select what you want and Export to a folder of your choice that is easily accessible or create a new folder
Open blender and go to File > Import > Skeleton Mesh(.psk)
Find the file you exported the model to and done!
Enjoy!
Dylan Hi, I had to install an addon in Blender to be able to import psk files. It seems it is not a function by default. Here’s is a link to the addon I mean: https://github.com/Befzz/blender3d_import_psk_psa
Dylan Okay, thank you. I have some expertise with programmes like that, so I’ll give it a try and use Google to look up specific requests, just like you did.
libkuza oh alright I can add that to the post I forgot Blender did not allow psk files by default, thank you!
Thanks for this. I’m going to add this on the modding resources list
Thank you for the information @Dylan could you recommend any Blender tutorials that you think would help me progress within Longvinter models?
Bones I just picked it up and started playing around. If I needed to learn something i would just google “how to do this in Blender” I’ve found going into edit mode and breaking up the pieces into different objects helps.
Dylan Okay thank you, I have a little experience with similar programs so I will give it a shot and refer to google with specific requests like you did yourself.
Bones you can always message me on Discord too
@Dylan Thank you will do
