This item would be a rare drop from (Insert high-level PvP zone here) that would allow you to crack into another player’s home.
Balance - This item would only work if the player of the opposing house has entered their home in the past 5-10 minutes. When cracking into one’s home an alarm or beeping sound would be played from the keypad reader in a mid to large audible range (Note: having different tier readers could change the time to crack a door, the amount of noise or the length of time it can actually crack a door after a player has entered) If hit at any time when keypad cracking this will result in the keypad reader short-circuiting it can maybe be repaired at a later time, if the break-in is successful the reader will be destroyed and could maybe turn into metal parts.
Gameplay - Im sure once raiding is implemented we’ll have more to go off of for sure, but adding something like this would encourage more planned out raids with how rare and fragile the reader. Do you have your friends secure the area then have the keypad cracker come in with a low tier reader and open the door or maybe you stalk out a group of players when solo with a high tier reader wait for them to go on a loot run and be in and out in 30 seconds? And something like this might help limit the problem of players’ Sudo-combat logging by rushing their homes by having the risk of someone having a reader ready to come in after you.
Balance (II) - Tents wouldn’t be affected by the readers adding the element of do I want a house with sentries and more Mnk output but can be raided or a tent that has less space and fewer production capabilities. (Thoughts?)
