Longvinter Application not starting - 0xc000007b

Hi I just purchased this game today hoping to binge play throughout the weekend.
Failed miserably with this error code popping up when trying to start the game.

0xc000007b

Can somebody help me out?
I tried all the youtube fixes (DirectX update, runtime update, windows update, GPU update, Visual C++ update etc.) but no luck.
