UPDATE: It appears the same issue happens if he runs the server from his PC and I try to join. My game hangs on the “joining” screen or I get kicked back to the menu, but he can get in just fine.
Opened up the ports on our internet, the server shows up in the server list for him, but it either hangs on the “joining” screen or it kicks him back to the menu, but I can get into it just fine.
Things worth knowing:
-We both purchased and downloaded the game last night (5/13/22), after the most recent local server update that made it easier to host local servers
-We are NOT on the experimental branch.
-Both copies have had their files verified via steam to ensure proper installation.
-Both PCs have the exact same specs and are the exact same age. (Ryzen 9 5900x CPU, Nvidia 3070 Ti GPU, 32 GB RAM, Windows 11 - 2 months old)
-We are both hardwired into the same modem, on the same high speed internet (Cox Gigablast)
