Tent Limit Require Server Wipe?

Hi, I am renting my own server. When I started renting, it was before the update to change the tent-limit, so I was restricted to 2 tents. I set some stuff up on my server, but I would like to change the tent limit to 9999 so that I can set up tents wherever I want.

But when I changed the game.ini file, saved it, and powercycled the server, in the game, it still says that there is a tent-limit of 2.

Why is that? Is there something else that needs to be done? Here is what my game.ini looks like:

Vunderbar I would assume 9999 is a number that isn’t supported, 99 sounds more reasonable but it could even be lower possibly. Start by testing a much lower value and increasing as you go maybe? Secondly you have to think starting a world with a value of 2 and then lowering to 1 after players have placed 2 tents could create issues in-game so perhaps the setting only works with a fresh world to prevent this?

I’m just estimating though you would need a developers comment to confirm

Did you change the game.ini with the server on?

Artur It might have been on. But then I restarted it. Would that not work? Next time I’ll change it with it off. But I think that it was shut down when I changed the game.ini file. I’m not sure though.

Bones The idea was to set it higher so that I could cover the Points of Interest with houses that have no turrets, so that people can’t go on the server and make houses with turrets to hog all the resources for themselves. I thought this would make my server more fair for everyone.

To do that, I need to start with a higher limit, and only make houses with my own account, and then set the limit lower and open it to public.
