As you may have seen, I’ve did some concepts for the game in the past. And here is my new one.
For now, I personnally think raiding is a bit useless and easy. The reward isn’t very much worth the cost. Mainly the cost of bullets. I know devs want the house to be a safe place and I feel it still should be, but with a twist.
What if we could enter houses with a lockpick. Lockpicks would only be available through crafting and with very rare materials like metal parts and other objects that could be created for this purpose. To enter a house, I thought about a minigame like we can see on some games like Dying light for example. Maybe a bit harder.
Lockpicks could break when the player fail at the minigame. That would make houses hard and costly to raid but also create a skill to master over time.
We could potentially also think about balancing features as a defender. Maybe add an in house turrets upgrade that activates itself 1 minute after an intruder enters the house.
