To prevent continuous postings of the same question, we will put the most basic and most asked questions in here. General Questions
Early Access?
As you should be aware, in EA and Beta, the reason for that is because we’re a small team trying to make the best game we can, and during closed playtests, we learned that doing it with the help of our community was crucial. We got valuable feedback like bug reports and opinions on new features and balancing problems we would not otherwise have. Early Access allows us to keep working with the help of the community on an even bigger scale. We are aiming to exit Early Access in a year, but it is ultimately up to player feedback and the amount/quality of the content the game has.
What was this game built on?
The game was made using Epic Game’s Unreal Engine 4.
How much is the game?
The game currently costs $16.99 USD, but it will see an approximately 30% increase during the Early Access period.
Will the game have any problems regarding Intellectual Property or Copyright? What will ensure this does not happen?
First, all the art is original and the game is made from scratch, no assets from other games have been used in the making. While we understand everyone’s concern we must explain that a company can’t sue a style of game “the characters look similar” wouldn’t hold up in court. And also, the gameplay is different from said references. I will not name any company in this FAQ, but do understand that the company in question is smart when it comes to lawsuits. An example of this, is that there’s a game on iOS and Android that is very inspired by a monster catcher game, but it isn’t called or has any reference to the game which had inspiration on, it was made from scratch with his own art, monsters, story, and more.
I just bought the game. Where should I start?
In the game, we have plenty of servers that you can choose. Pick any server you want, but I suggest choosing the one with the lowest ping for the best gameplay experience. We have two types of servers: official (with a blue check mark) and non-official. The official ones are in PvP mode, so if you prefer peace, try to look for some unofficial PvE servers to get on. You can look at the “How to Play?” page in the game by pressing ESC while you are on the server, or you can access it through the menu. That’s a good place to start and understand what you should do first.
Can I make my own server?
Yes, you can! Try checking out our official documentation here - https://docs-server.longvinter.com/
How many players can a server handle?
The recommended at the moment is 50 players, although there is no technical limitation
Can I make a private server?
Sure! Just add a password to it and the server will only be accessible with your password.
Issues Questions
I get disconnected after doing something in the server, what’s the problem?
1 - Be sure not to be on experimental
2 - If the server is not official, 99% of the times the server is not updated
3 - If the server is official, post a bug report on GitHub with full details
